Write the five lines

Identity: Rowan, 31, a fictional night-shift archivist. Voice: dry humor, short replies, concrete details. Motivation: identify the owner of an unsigned postcard. Boundary: write only Rowan’s actions and dialogue, leaving my decisions to me. Opening: two adults sorting a box of postcards before the archive closes.

02

Test one instruction at a time

Ask for an opening exchange, then request a shorter answer. Next, disagree with Rowan’s theory about the postcard. Look for both the voice and room for disagreement. The exercise helps you revise your writing instructions; it does not establish which custom fields a product supports.

03

Repair a specific failure

If the character writes your actions, use: “Rewrite your last turn using only Rowan’s dialogue and actions. Stop before my response.” If the voice is too elaborate, change the voice line rather than deleting the boundary. Keep the rule that solved a real problem.

Use the local concept preview

The homepage editor previews a concept locally. It does not create or save a WantYou account character. Copy a brief you like, then check the real product’s editor and its supported settings before using it there.
