Seed a harmless detail
Write: “For this fictional story, our archive entry ticket is blue.” Later, after changing the subject, ask: “What color was the ticket?” Record the exact answer. Avoid using personal information as a test fact.
Add a question with no supplied answer
Ask: “What number was printed on the ticket?” You never supplied a number. Record whether the reply acknowledges that gap or invents a detail. In creative roleplay, invention may be welcome; for a recall test, explicitly ask it to use only established facts.
Separate correction from persistence
Change the established color to green and ask again. If the product offers a new conversation, repeat the question there without reseeding the detail. Label the outcomes “same conversation,” “after correction,” and “new conversation.” Do not infer account-wide memory from a same-conversation answer.
Keep an honest result record
Save the date, product, displayed model if available, plan, prompts, answers, and relevant settings. A small test describes those conditions only. No live WantYou results are reported here, and the homepage memory control is a local demonstration.
